Okay, so maybe it isn't technically in
Helen.. but it's so close that you have to visit if you're
in Helen. Besides, the Sautee Nacoochee Valley is a
beautiful area with some fantastic shops and you'd
truly be missing out if you skipped them. Among these
is @thesweetwatercoffeehouse which is a delightful
coffee house with yummy baked goods, handmade
pottery, and of course some great coffee. We have to
stop in every time we pass through, and we think you
should add it to your list as well!

"What's the best hiking trail in Clayton?" This is a question we seem to get almost daily, and there's nothing wrong with that, but to be honest, we probably give each person who asks a different answer. Clayton is one of the best towns in North Georgia if you're looking for a hiking hub. There are over 100 waterfalls in Rabun County alone, add in the scenic mountain views and lush forest floor, and you have a lot to choose from. So if you ask us for our favorite hike, you're likely to get a few follow-up questions that help us determine what the best recommendation is for your wants and needs. So while it's hard for us to pinpoint one hike as our absolute favorite, we thought we would list out a few of our favorite areas. These are four of our favorite areas to explore, they each host several different trails of varying difficulty and many different points of interest:

The Bartram Trail - Miles and miles of tight twists through dense forests, lined with countless waterfalls and some breathtaking mountain views.

The Chattooga River - The "Wild and Scenic" Chattooga is the only river in Georgia with this designation. Endless beauty stretched across undisturbed shorelines. Waterfalls, swimming holes, and whitewater rafting. This is where you'll find us all summer long.

Tallulah Gorge - One of Georgia's Seven Natural Wonders, Tallulah Gorge is a staggering 1000-ft deep gorge carved by the Tallulah River. Fantastic year-round views, thundering waterfalls that echo across the canyon, and lots and lots of stairs.

Black Rock Mountain - This is Georgia's highest-elevation state park. Absolute serenity, long-range views, incredibly lush forest canopies, and abundant wildlife.
