Our new window display is here just in time for Fa

Our new window display is here just in time for Fall! Alex, our co-owner, has been hard at work on this project for weeks. From collecting the tree fall to trimming them to the right size to mounting them to stringing each leaf by hand, to say it’s been a labor of love is an understatement. She’s going to be changing it up throughout the seasons so it’ll have an ever evolving look as we go from Spring to Summer to Fall to Winter. But so happy with the way it turned out!

We’ve also had a lot of people asking about the weather and conditions up here post storm. Most of North Georgia is up and running and ready to welcome the Fall season across the state. Some trails and forest service roads are still not back up and running yet but all the shops and restaurants are back and as ready for the cooler temperatures as y’all are. If you do decide to do any hiking, please check with the @gastateparks or the US Forest Service on social media or their website as they are keeping information updated in real time on any short or long term closures.

We hope to see y’all in the coming weeks! The leaves are starting to get some color and temps will be in the 40s next week! Here comes Fall!

UPDATE: This is insane. We thought we’d sell a couple hundred shirts and raise a couple thousand dollars. Well we’re up to almost 2,000 less than 48 hours later. That equals $32,000 in donations!!!!!!!! Amazing. Overwhelming. Humbling. Thank y’all for rallying around our neighbors in North Carolina. Unfortunately we’re going to have take this down temporarily as we’re starting to run into some logistical issues. As a small family run business, we’re getting close to not being able to hit our ability to deliver on what we said we could do. And like any great southerner knows, your word is your bond. So we want to honor your trust in us by keeping our word and doing this right.

Logistically, we are basically exhausting supplies for this color shirt in the US, i.e. we’re buying every Pine Green shirt in the country at this time. We also want to remain confident that we can get these shirts shipped out in a timely way on 11/4. Doing some rough math on how long it takes us to pick, pack and ship, we’re up to about 67 hours we’ll need to get everything out the door and on it’s way to you. We feel confident we can shave that time a bit by going all hands on deck with our back of house crew and some friends and volunteers pitching in but we’d like to be able to get this first wave out the door and not disappoint people before we add too many more orders on top of this.

We WILL do our best to bring this back in the future so we can continue to raise funds for our neighbors in North Carolina. But for now, we need to call a short time out to make sure our ducks are in a row. An amazing problem to have but we wanted to make sure y’all had transparency for our response to y’alls response.

If you would still like to give, please consider donating or volunteering with a non-profit. There are also a ton of mutual aid groups on the ground, businesses like Bitter Southerner with a shirt that is also raising funds, & supply drives popping up all over where we can all stay involved.
