If not the best book I’ve read in the past 10 years, definitely top 3. Highly, highly recommend. It starts off a little slow as the early chapters jump around and tell the story from the perspective of multiple characters before they all start to meet and connect with each other across different locations and time. Without giving too much away, this book is for every nature lover and details how trees are interconnected with us and the planet. Part metaphor. Part history lesson in trees. Part environmental activism. Part hope. Part failed experiment. Just about the perfect book for outdoor enthusiasts who love a good novel.
